Reading – Revising

I revised on what we learned in the past 3 weeks.

First we learnt about controversty. Controversy is when 2 groups of public belelive that a object is good or bad. For example people think that the earth is flat but the earth is round.

Next we learnt purpose, user, stakeholder. Purpose is why the object was made, The user is who uses the object, Steakholder is a person who invest something and makes money, fame.

Lastly we learnt the history of our topic (TV).

I enjoyed this because I revised what I learnt. I did well on revising. I need to improve on explaining Purpose, User, and Stakeholder.

Reading – Quiz

I learnt the purposes, users, stakeholders, the controversy, and the history of the technology.

First we revised on our work over the past 3 weeks. We added some history things about the television on our quiz. For example: who invented the first TV with colors? Then we put in people that invented other things and the person who made the first TV with colors.

Lastly we made a quiz about the television. We first planned our quiz so the quiz can come out good. The quiz was hard to make because we didn’t plan out who’s doing the things. We forgot to do our final product, our detailed information, information needed, and other things.

I enjoyed thsi because I made a quiz. I did well on make the quiz. I need to improve on the information.

TV Podcast

We made a TV Podcast

First we divided us into two teams. The good team and the bad. We resserched information about if tvs are good or bad. My team was the bad side so I found information why tvs are bad.

Next we wrote notes down to remeber what to say. I wrote down that we are going to be discussing whether TV is good or bad. I think tvs are bad because they include a chemical called Nitrogen trifluoride that can harm people.

Then we recorded our recording.

I enjoyed this because I did a TV podcst. I did well on say the words. I need to improve on memorizing the words.

Purposes, Users, and Stakeholders

I learnt about Purposes, Users, and Stakeholders.

First we founds some information about TVs. We wrote down some notes so we could remember some Facts about TV.

Next we wrote down our notes on our google slide so we can look at it better.

Lastly we wrote what Purposes, Users, and Stakeholders are. Steakholder means: A person creates something to invest to gain money. The user is: the person who uses that product. the purpose is why that product was made.

I enjoyed this because I learnt what Purposes, Users, and Stakeholders are. I did well on taking the notes. I need to improve on finding fact about TVs.

History

I chose a technology that was the first ever invention of it. The technology is called a television / TV. The first ever invention was a type of light bulb. The light bulb controls the TV. This was made in 1926 by John Logie Baird. After John Logie invented the TV, the next year this person made a TV, but people thought that was the first TV made.

This technology is different to the modern version of its technology. The modern TV uses a remote and the first TV used a light bulb. The screen for the modern TV is a flat screen, the first TV was not flat, but it looked different. For example: the light bulb has this weird thing on the bottom of the light bulb. It is like a battery.

There are many types of technology. The first version of the technology can look different to what it looks like in the modern days.

Synthesising

I learnt a strategy called synthesising.

Synthesising is a basic strategy. Synthesising means to make something new from small components. For example: synthesising is like maths because it has to use my prior knowledge + new information = new understanding.

The story is a fairy tale in 1248. It is about these people in the village, then this man comes and blows on a fife. All of the rats and mice go around him. People claimed that he was a rat catcher.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt a new strategy. I did well on reading the text. I need to improve on the Prior Knowledge.

Visualising

Visualising is thinking about an image, then creating the image without searching the image, text, or topic.

Visualising is a strategy on what the image looks like, feels like, or smells like. The image has to be a topic of something in your mind. For example: Lacrosse is a team sport that involves 10 males or 12 females. The 10 males or the 12 females have a cross or lacrosse stick. The image will be drawn as 10 males or 12 females playing Lacrosse with a cross or lacrosse stick.

Visualising can help kids that like drawing. Visualising is a simple strategy.

QAR (Question Answer Relationship)

I learnt about QAR. QAR stands for question, answer, relastionship. There are 4 types of QAR. Right there, Think and search, Author and me and on my own

First we read a text to find out the answer for the question. The story is called Thirst. The story is a about Carter having lots of water and Ryder having no water so he gets water and made sure the birds were drinking. Then the parents find out and Ryder runs away.

Next I put the questions in. I got all of  question right.

Then I found out the answers. The answers are What do you think happened to Ryder? This question is a on my own. What does the water tank code do? What does the water tank code do? This question is a author and me. What is the drinking water company’s name? This is a think and search. What does the water tank code do? This is a right there.

I enjoyed thsi because I learnt about QAR. I did well on finding the answers. I need to improve on reading the story.

Processed Food

I learned to form my opinion.

First we discussed and recorded our opinions  withthe extended discussion cards. The quetion was why processed food is good for humans

Next we wrote our own opinion my opinion is: I think processed food is good for us because it keeps us fed when have fresh food and processing food kill microorganisms so it doesn’t make us sick.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt to form my opinion. I did well on forming my opinion. I need to improve on saying the question louder.
